Lee Roy, a young man with a troubled past, but unaccustomed to hard slave labor stumbles upon one of these plantations on his quest to a new life out west. After enduring and experiencing what slavery is really like, Lee Roy runs. Life on the run of course is not easy, and dodging the evil land owner Coldman and his henchman proves harder and harder as he continues. Lee Roy, in all of his experiences, finds hope and happiness but none of this comes without a price.
