After suffering years of physical and mental abuse by her father, Susan Hathaway grew up knowing monsters were real. But nothing could have prepared her for the devastating murder of her mother at the hands of her father when she was fourteen. In the wake of tragic loss, separation from her siblings, depression, anxiety, PTSD and countless emotional trials in the aftermath, Susan discovers the inner strength to ultimately be a survivor. In this memoir, she takes the reader on a visceral journey of growing up a victim and reveals what it took to build a life of positivity and courage.
