At the heart of the Zenithian Swamp, wildlife lives in violent har-mony. To trespass on this magical ecosystem is to invite sw-i--ft de-ath from the claws and venom of those wild denizens who hunt in the shadows.

Unless, of course, you befriend them. For Gavin and his children, the sw-amp is a refuge, a place to hide from the fearsome and exacting Ge--n--eral of Stillness, Prime Runecaster of the Realm. For the Gene-ral, the swamp is another swath of land to conquer, and Gavin's chil--dren are magically gifted resources to weaponize. For the Gen-eral's daughter Stelli, the swamp is an overgrowing mire of unfamiliar emotions: distrust of her father and love for the enemy, a woman named Dezma, Gavin's closest friend and protector.

None emerge from the heart of the swamp the same as when they enter.

Some do not emerge at all.
