I realised that I did not ever want someone going through the pain I had gone through. I didn't want any kid to ever blame themselves for something that they had no control over. I had seen friends and family changed by the system because it was easier to let it break them than to rise above it. I want to advocate for the next generation of foster kids. This book was written to help others in care to find their strength and not feel silenced or alone."
