Book Two continues with the adventures of Andreux, when he enters the city of Vauns.

You have made a little progress, when you are able to step outside the darkness and confusion that surrounds you. The destination seems right in front of you, within hands reach. Yet, that result isn't as satisfying as it ought to be. In fact you become more miserable when you achieve that goal.

When we do not address the underlying issues, often we may find ourselves at a point where we seem to have everything. Yet inner peace eludes us, making us question if it was even worth the effort to get on the journey in the first place.

It is like putting a bandage on the symptom and wishing the disease to be cured. That just doesn't happen.

It is important to dig deeper and tackle the root cause of the problem. And more often than not, you'll realize that the journey you ought to take is not outward, but within. The reasons for where you are right now are not external. There is no one to blame but yourself, because you are 100% responsible for your life.

And when you realize that, and re-embark on the journey because that is what you truly desire and cannot fathom living without realizing it, be prepared for the world to offer its mightiest resistance to your progress. But by then, you are so engulfed in the burning desire to redeem yourself, that you become oblivious to all external obstacles.

Because by then you have identified your true enemy within. To reinstate your inner conscience (or soul), you realize that you must vanquish your ego.
