Such geographical decentralisation of introduces a number of challenges in project management and software engineering. This book presents the experiences and lessons learned from a case study of a distributed product development project. It also includes an overview of current research within the field, and applies the aforementioned information in improving a waterfall-based process model to suit the needs and challenges of globally distributed software development.
