The present book, Applied Physics ¿ For Engineering is the application of the science of physics to helping human beings and solving their problems. It differs from engineering because engineers solve well-defined problems. Applied physicists use physics or conduct physics research to develop new technologies or solve engineering problems. Our graduates are prepared to successfully compete for and perform in professional work across a broad range, including physics, engineering, education or related fields. The applied physics major also serves as an excellent pathway for students intending to pursue graduate study.
