Aprašymas

M. P. Dunne was born in a small suburban community outside of Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Ms. Dunne is the eldest for four children. After surviving twelve years of a coed Catholic education, she walked the straight and narrow. Close to graduation, she inquired about college scholarships. Since the counselor was a nun, she instructed Ms. Dunne to marry and raise children. At that time, scholarships for college were intended for young men. With very few options, she went to work as an editorial proofreader for a very young company. Ms. Dunne has grown with that company and is still working there today, as a customer service manager. Ms. Dunne became interested in limericks during the sixth grade, when various forms of poetry were introduced to the classroom. Her favorite poet is Edgar Allen Poe. However, she appreciates the humor she finds in lighter poetry. She was drawn to the humor in a cleverly written limerick. However, after several attempts at writing them were "condemned" by her teacher, a nun by the way, she gave up her uncreative efforts. In order to move up the corporate ladder, Ms. Dunne attended various business classes at the local community college. Again, she was confronted with an English course, which included poetry. Although the course was directed at several forms of literature, limericks once again flew onto her radar. With encouragement from the instructor, her work began to take shape. Today, Ms. Dunne writes limericks for her own amusement. She has shared them with family and friends. This is her first attempt at publishing a collection of her work. It is her wish that she can make someone's day a little brighter with humor.
